Why stop at the 70's...? Think 80's or 90's. My Mopar buddy hated the "Heartbeat of America small block Chevy valve covers with a passion. What about polished aluminum "Flame" valve covers with matching "Flame" spark plug wire holders. I just purchased a set of 3" x 3" x 24" milled "Flame" exhaust tips....too cool. I just had to have them for garage wall art. This stuff is still all around us. We just look the other way. Gary
Now you got me thinking. I had a 1969 Z/28 with Thrush sidepipes, Motion Performance rear window "Slats" louvers, N-50 15's on 10" Cragar triple reversed rims, Purple hornie header mufflers, yellow Lakewood traction bars, Vega high back bucket seats, a Super tuner cassette deck with tri-axiel speakers. Yes, I know the language well. 1976 at it's finest. There is something cool about seeing every color of Moroso Anodized big block Chevy valve covers hanging on the Speed Shop Wall.
from the seventies remember the aftermarket door lock knobs WITHOUT the flair on the end? They were supposed to make it harder for theives to unlock the door with a coat hanger .
Garters that I had hangin' on my rear view mirror from those "hot" Saturday night dates.... Still have a box full of them that I saved stashed in the garage. The ol' lady thinks I got rid of those a long time ago...
60's - Baby Moon hubcaps 70's - White letter tires 80's - Fake chrome wire wheels with the cheesy wire baskets ... usually on a well-used Caddy without the factory fender skirts, usually missing at least one of the baskets.
