first few minutes of The Blonde Comet;

 

four wheel drift in one of those things........... superstars!

 

Just comparing the safety equipment with a modern day NASCAR ride brings to mind the phrase "when men were men". I find it amazing that they were able to get themselves AND their balls into the same car.

the movie makes it look like there were wrecks in every race
and every wreck was a fatality

probably not far from the truth

 

who was she? and any photos of her and what did she drive?those rear engined cars really oversteered

 

no doubt the drivers had big balls, but how about the spectators that line the streets inches from the speeding cars.

 

I guess thats a kind of 30's formula F1 race,a LOT cooler than that damn circus is on these days
