If you're driving your jalopy from home to race it as hard is you can to, hopefully, drive it back, sound off here! The Yay-Hoos wanna know who the real hardcores on this board are. We know it ain't us.

Is anybody gonna challenge FlamedAbone for the title this year?

Everybody that drives their car from home to track (at least 150 miles) to race will earn the Yay-Hoos' undying respect. If you're the quickest car/ driver to do that you get even more than that:

    1. Your name will go on the Yay-Hoo Cup to be revered for generations to come.

    2. You'll get one free Shiner Bock to drink out of said Cup.

    3. You'll get a bitchin' timinig tag so you can prove to your buddies back home that you're really a winner of the Yay-Hoo Cup.

Please come by Hoo-ville and register as a contender, even if the only 11.30's you run is in the 1/8 mile. You won't get your name on the Cup, but you will get our respect. We'd like to meet you.

We really do want as many to register as posible. Driving from home, running as hard as your car will allow, and making the haul back to the homestead is what this is all about !

We can only guarantee one Shiner because we never know how the Friday night party is gonna go.

where is Hoo-ville gonna be? i doubt that clarence could turn 11.3 on an 1/8th mile track, but i'd like to meet you guys.

mapquest says it's about 250 miles from my place to MoKan and clarence will never be on a trailer unless broken or stolen.

someday someone might beat flamedabone on the strip but it's unlikely that they'll have driven as far as he does to get there.

  10. I could outrun Jeff but I got this bum leg, well that and I just blew out my flipflop and I hate racing on stickers. :D

AAS far as driving as far as Jeff and racing I guess when I'm on the road again I'd be willing to meet him half way and drive in with him. Hell I'd do that anyway even if I wasn't going to race.

Jeff is good folks and has always built a decent car.

Kerry broke the rail so unless he gets a new mill together before the HAMB Drags Jeff has a contender. They both stay pretty low key and they both build 'em fast. My kinda people.

I think it had more to do with sucking all the crap into the carb and it running dry at half track... I'm hoping for much better this year...

  14. You should do fine your buick isn't that big and you got alot of engine there. You tip @ 3200 to 3500 lbs?

closer to 3800-3900 I believe, but yeah, I think gearing is an issue as well. Definitely not geared for it, but it's still so much fun. I'm really psyched to do it again...

  16. Jeff is a pal but I forgot Brother Kerry aka "The Worlds fastest Mennonite" is taking the coupe and slicks since he broke the rail. I will toss my hat Kerry's way ;)

  17. The Pusher tips @ 4K or a little more. Gears @ 3.08 I moved from the 14s to the 13s by staying in second. of course I was right at the float point in the lights. But I was determined.

You should do alright. Running out of gas will definately put a damper on things. You're running stock coupe or gas coupe this year?

Last couple of years we made camp just past the starting line on the staging lanes side. Hopefully, we'll be in that same spot this year so folks know where to find us. We'll have a blue pop-up with a Yay-Hoos banner hanging from it.

Come by, say "howdy", and sign up!

Cant go this year ,but next year if all goes well FlamedAbone is gunna have his hands full .I will need to get the Dart registered to drive it up there ,but i think it will make the 300 mile trip with sum street tires out back.My small block isnt blown ,but i think a 75-100 shot of spray should make us pretty even :D.If i recall he runs low 11.30's and im in the 11.40's on the motor .Should be a good race anyway ...

Well, Google says about 450 miles and 8 1/2 hours... but I'll gladly admit that I'm not as hardcore as you guys! I drive it quite a bit... but it will be on a trailer for this one.
Much respect and admiration to everyone driving to the races. Good Luck winning the Yay-hoo cup, that is bad ass!

I wouldn't consider my car a contender to race flat out against folks like Kerry or Flamed A Bone (got a lot of respect for both of them and there cars) but I'm gonna make the 365 mile trip from Omaha in my 40 (it's maiden roadtrip) Race it and hopefully drive it home. Look foward to meeting you guys. Gary

You fuckers don't have to be CRAZY FAST to be contenders!

Anything can happen......that FlamedAbone guy might pitch a belt or cough up a gasket.

    Step up people!

I wanted in but I didn't send in my registration in time. ( I didn't want to take a racing spot if my car wasn't running) It's running now:D

Do you guys know if they will allow any alternates on no shows?
