Event Coverage (EMHC) Bonneville roll call

Two cars heading west from Cincinnati Wednesday morning and plan to land in Wendover Friday. Return trip for two of us and bringing three newbies to get bit by salt fever! There's nothing like it.

What's involved with "camping at the bend"? Who runs it? Cost per night? Distance from the event? Reservations required? Thanks in advance, Lou. (planning for next year)

I'm leaving Visalia tomorrow with a stop in Placerville (going out US 50) then on to Reno and then Bonneville Thursday night (I-80) If any of you guys pass me give a wave or stop in and say "Hi" I'll be at the "Bend" in this rig.

I'll be there friday n saturday and back again monday. Can't wait. Salt Fever really bad. I'm bringing the camera and will be talking to lots of folks about their rides. Anyone want me to shoot their car/truck/bike, look for a loud blue Subaru WRX turbo fordor.

I'll be there, along with a couple of other Grave Robbers.
We too will be camping at the bend, pinstriping at the cruise, and I'm helping crew for Collon Radford, of Radford Auto. If anybody sees my Lincoln, my Grave Robbers patch, or my curly mustache, Stop and say hello.

It's Simple. It's on BLM land, there's no charge, It is about a mile from Land's End [where the road to the course across the Salt begins]. They put out quite a few porta pottys, and a couple of large dumpsters so people don't screw up the Salt, and best of all, there's a huge party with fireworks on Sunday nite [donations greatly appreciated]. It's put on by the people who run the Land Racing .com site. It's called "The Salt Talks". Reservations: Just show up with beer and a good attitude and you're welcome.
