Just got a call from my buddy, he told me my old big block 63 dart is for sale. I would have to sell my 66 belvedere sedan tho. What to do?
I view the cars that I got rid of like women. If it was a rough ride-N.F.W. If it was a nice ride and easy on the wallet,I might go back. I keep the real goodies and run em hard. Usually if I get rid of them there was a reason and no need to go back. Oldmics
Bought back my '46 chev Aero-sedan last october.Built the car in '81;gave it to the better half for her birthday(31 Oct)............yeah,brownie points
I agree with this in general "Usually if I get rid of them there was a reason and no need to go back."
The lure of the "fond" memories of the old car may be out of proportion to what it really is. If you get it you will probably say "why did I do this?" after the honeymoon fades.
I had a 66 El Camino i sold a few years ago that i would buy back in a heartbeat if i had the chance. Like most people are saying, its your own choice.
This seems like a no brainer to me... If you ever caught yourself thinking "I wish I could buy my old Dart back..." then you wouldn't be asking us, you'ld be doing it. If you haven't thought it, then maybe you're hoping we'll talk you into it. Why?
Have you ever said to yourself ? .. I wish I had never sold my (insert car) OR .. I wish I still had my (insert car) Usually said after seeing a pristine example of one when, in reality, yours was a piece of shit and that is why you sold it ..
had a bunch of SS Chevies...parted with my 64 Nova SS with a 283 and powerglide to a young shit hoping (at a low price for what it would bring) to get him along the road to a better being...needed a full resto but HELL it ran and drove... got a ticket in the mail on it...ran him down to say WTF...found out the shit had already turned it for money....of all my SS's...sure miss that Nova...it hurts..
