Here are a couple of cars here in Fairbanks.both run and drive. The Hudson is a twin carb car. They're both for sale. The guy just won't say how much.
It's the "sellers" business to sell the car how they want imho, but with that said, I never understood why people (who have what you want) want you to be the seller and buyer in one if that makes sense. When that comes into play, you just lowball on purpose since you are actually acting like a seller/buyer in one and if they do not like it, tell them to name a price...
you cant say its for sale then not give a price..why tell people its for sale in the first place. makes no sense. i suppose he wants to bring back the art of mind reading
Thank you, Barrett Jackson. Now, everything is worth a minimum of five digits. Even my daughter's 'matching numbers' '88 Diahatsu Charade. Maybe those Studes command that much now. Just seems like a high price to me. -Bill
Yeah, but it's getting a little better out there now. I've seen a lot of cars become a lot more obtainable here in the past year or so. I remember a few years back seeing people trying to get 10k plus for tri five chevy's. now you can find runners in the same price range. I think the trend is finally coming to an end...just wish it would happen faster.
$15k each and the buyer either needs to live in Fairbanks/Anchorage/on the road system or has to face the facts of the costs of shipping to a lower-48 destination. As a sidenote - shipping OUT of AK is a bit cheaper, because lots of freight goes up, but not much comes back, so there is a lot of empty room in containers. Nonetheless, neither of those fine rides is a $15,000 car - not yet anyway. Perhaps his heirs will be able to sell them for that - more than likely, they'll just dump them because they don't care. dj
Both cool cars Bob...and what's even strangre, I've owned twins of both back in the 70's. I haven't had a Hudson for too many years. Gotta look for one closer to Hotlanta.
