Hey guy's, here's a few t/q shots from atlantic city,I posted some before but never got an answer if these are acceptable to this thread. I made an offer for a free wing from the 80's and it stirred things up and don't want to rock your boats and if they're not I'll just put them back in the dungeon.....Rich

Who cares if they are acceptable. Nobody posts much here so keep them coming. Bring back great memories of when racing in AC was fun and not just done to line someones pockets.

I remember hearing that, Tommy. I think that was after I was flagging them. My newspaper job kept me from making the mid-week programs (Fair Week was always a blast before that), and working at the Fairgrounds in Louisville took me away from the weekends.

FYI, he's working on the latest update for daytonspeedwaylives.com. He said it will probably be up later today (Aug. 16).

My friend Crocky Wright was laid to rest yesterday , He got his last ride from me in a car he ran for me at vintage meets. He was a historian, racer, stunt man and a very prolific writer.
This was done at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing at latimore valley in Pa.
    Rest in peace my friend

Also, Stan, I copied the second photo and sent it, along with the story, to a lot of my contacts who were familiar with Crocky. Those who have responded, as might be expected, have been very supportive and gave a thumbs-up to the idea. Thanks again.

    Tommy,
I have the postcard of your Dad in the 7 car. When I started out he was very nice to me and was a lot of help. I think the second picture might be the Indy Speedrome? I remember racing against you some.

Was at Latimore Valley Sat. I snapped this one that brings back Memories for me. Midget racer on the trailer with cockpit cover in place. The trailer was usually towed by a station wagon or big car like a Caddy.

    Tony ..

Your pictures are always SUPERB!!!!! THANKS for sharing them.

Hmmmmm??? The number 36 was always on Charlie Nagy's Trevis and for most of it's life it carried the colors above. Both those things make me wonder .. did Nagy ever have a V8-60 powere midget? .... Does anyone know?

Ken, When you reproduce a picture like you did in post #1221 to answer a post, how do you do that? If you use the quote button does the picture come with it? Denny Z

Here is another shot of the car. Has a B in the front bumper.

I`m thinking Joe,Doug or Stan may know the history of the car.
For Some reason I`m thinking it might be the Bourgnon(SP) Offy?

    OOPS It's an Offy !!!

    Hey Tony ..

Could be, but the Bourgnon (spelling?) cars that I remember seeing were kind of a teal & black.

Again, your pictures are just SUPERB!!!

Hi Ken,no,the car does have a flatty Ford in it now.

I`m probably wrong about it being the Bourgnon Offy car,but that is what came to mind.

Geez .. Seeing that car always brings back a flood of REALLY GRRRRRRREAT memories.

Your pictures of it are (as always) OUTSTANDING!!!!

I look forward to seeing it again .. along with Sprinter 2's (Doug's) Darrell Villa Kurtis Offy .. that was beautifully restored by Joe Fiore (Wynns #1) and many other wonderful cars at the show on September 12th, in Warren, NJ.

Ken Brenn plays a BIG part in producing the race car portion of that show.

I hope to meet YOU there!!!

How can it get much better that the beautiful Hespell Offy. Restored by Joe Fiore!

My first time getting to see this one. I only wish I could have gotten this car for photos in a better location but it was in a cluttered spot. I did a little magic to make some of the junk disappear in the photo.
