I love this shit... 76 pages on a car I always heard was "unliked" by the majority of hotrodders. This just goes to show you...

I don't know what, but it goes to show you.

if you are talking about the early roundbody sixes then
get a copy of march 1960 Hot rod magazine .
has an article ' making the falcon fly':about H&M, Edelbrock and Stroppe did to the falcon engine

as far as i can see from the article :

looks like std exhaust manifold too.

when i get a chance at work , ill scan the article and put up

Hi Brett - thanks for posting that article. Real interesting reading. I'm going to try and print it out to show my father who is interested in multi-carbs on the old cast inlets but is web-less.

  13. I went to a cruise-in in Oakboro, NC. and Lee Holman was there. He also had this Falcon with him. It was built as an homage to the original. The exception to the build was a 200 c.i. 6 cylinder that was built up using an Offenhauser intake instead of building up a 144 c.i. 6. He was a very humble man and stood and talked with me about the car for almost an hour. It wasn't until the following year that I learned that he is a fellow member in the Ford Owner's Association of the Carolinas. I met him again this year at the F.O.A.C. Ford and Mercury show. He remembered me and was just as gracious.

These pictures were taken at the cruise-in in Oakboro.

I believe some of the early single barrels Ford used on the Falcon sixes had glass float bowls... a novel idea, makes check for the presence of fuel easy.

  17. You are right Josh, it is missing a float bowl. Never noticed that before. Come to think of it, the car did come in on a trailer.

    - Muncie, I reread your question - the Lokar bracket is rigid and there is no flex in the trans tunnel - the shifter feels very tight and sturdy -
