The trucks are Gullwing mach III's, the rail are Schmitt Stix Big Ugly Stix, and the board is from 1988. I used to collect old school decks and have seen some of the decks you guys mentioned sell for a pretty penny, as long as they were in mint condition. Great finds, i wish i was lucky enough to stuble across some old decks of that condition in the trash.

I never throw anything away (ask my wife!) I knew one day all my boards would be worth something.........funny thing is I don't want to get rid of any of them.
I think I may get one of Cabs new Hot Rod boards, haven't bought a board since the 80s.
    Remember the Alvas?

I believe this Gator is not from 86.It looks more like a later model.I still have my Gator from 84-86 and it has a smoother shape. Not that "edgy".Still have all my other boards and NEVER will part with them.Just took a look at the Skull and Bones Skateboards website and it seems I got a fortune in the basement...
    Man,those times were great !!!

thats the same one used in the INXS film clip ,even running the gullwing trucks. Nice find. The old school boards where much better to ride than the modern toothpicks

Was it the "aerotech" slasher? I had one of them & it didn't last real long, The twelve step ollie might have had something to do with it.

    Cheers, Jimbob

I'm such a dip shit for getting rid of my old dog town "board to death" and "Big foot" decks. I also had a blank with one-off artwork by Chris Miller painted on it which I wound up snapping. If I'd only known they'd be worth something. I wonder which of the newer decks will have any value other than sentimental in the future. Aside fom some of the longboard decks, the nu skool decks have no personality other than the graphics.

I was there at Trashmore when Gator got arrested for spitting on the cop... he really was a dumbass.

Did anyone else go to the big contest in the airplane hanger in Mobile Alabama back in, what 85 or 86? I was there. Fun times.

    Amen!
Skateboarding=Hot Rods???? I don't see the connection. Go to a different site and don't waste this valuable space.

You've got to laugh about the paraphased quote "Wow, that takes me back". Yeah, way back to 1986! Ha!

I dont get it! How do you find a stick in "mint condition"?! That' to me would have to be the rarest find in the scateboard world!, because everyone i knew that had one, two or a dozen rode um all!

Edited by Grimlok - I've skated for quite a long time. So I can personally draw parallels between skating and hot rods - they are there and I'm obviously not the only one to pick up on it. Doesn't matter though. This post ran it's course long ago. Done.
