I know it is a long shot but does anyone know where I might find a rubber bellows like the one pictured? It's for an AC 6 volt fuel pump model number 6VEP-11 also there's also a 9-79 stamped on it I am ***uming thats the date code. It was NOS when I got it and I have about 50 hrs on it. Did they ever make rebuild kits for these? A google search wasn't helpful. Thanks, TK

    Thanks John,
They have a bellows in one of their rebuild kits that looks identical. I'll call them Monday.

I have the same pump. I tried it yesterday after it sat unused in the truck for 5 years. It rattles very loudly, but doesn't pump. I really like this pump and want to rebuild it.

Did you have any luck in finding a rebuild kit for this pump?

    Thanks.

I did have luck. I got a rebuild kit at Auto Performance Engineering http://www.APEusa.com I guess the new gas eats the rubber bellows. He recommends flushing it out with mineral spirits occasionally. The bellows kit is $8.75.

The ethanol doesn't do rubber any good.

Thanks for the info. I just ordered four kits.

I have two pumps. One is a 6v and the other is a 12v. Both had the rubber bellows eaten up and distorted by the gas. The rubber turned into a substance similar to weatherstrip adhesive or gl*** urethane.

I got tired of rebuilding those pumps, its easier to change to a all type fuel pump and you don't have to worry about the points corroding any.

I'm thinking I should get a few more. I'll wait until I get the four in the mail though.

My last rubber bellows lasted about 10 hrs. So I just switched to this Carter 6v pump.
