Hey guys I could use your help again! I'm trying to figure out the roof for my 31 sedan. I 'm not sure what route to go I know there are several options but each has it's own questions

    1. factory long grain; how do you finish the front? any good pics?

    2. filled; why use a donor, the bow of the roof is so small why not use new sheet metal, and how do you finish the front, any pics?

    3. canvas; I've been toying with the idea of using more modern materials, but never seen it done before, anyone done this? if so any pics?

any help would be appreciated. Terry

here is mine - snap on snap off . its like driving a "vert" with the top off , and the white keeps it cool when its real hot . the only thing is , when the tops out and you pull a smokey burn out , you get covered by tire remnants lol .

There is enough of a bow that sheetmetal will be a ***** to use.
I used the roof off an old Mercury wagon and the bow from side to side was pretty close but front to back created a little bit of a problem.
    I have a 29 Sedan.

Nice Mopar210! I run my 31' open with the wood like yours and have to agree! Tire chunks and pea gravel from heaven. I guess I should start looking for a snap in for our fall weather!

I've seen some that open like a roman shade (like a vw) but can't find any info on it, (plus my little monkeys might climb out). If anyone could put a pick of a filled up by the visor, might help my decision. Terry

I don't have many of the roof in my '30 sedan, however; here a a few to give you an idea during the build and after. The donor was an 80's Chrysler mini-van... Actually there is a good bow in the roof, if you use a FLAT sheet, it will look as if it was dropped on its head....
