It's big. Very decent-sized flea market, okay car show, mixed bag from classics to foreign cars. I will dig out my pictures from last year and post them. Lots of wood boogers empty their barns and bring the contents to the swap. Go early for the swap, or wait until the weekend if the show is your bag.

If you are looking for something like any swap meet usually the deals are gone by the time the gates open... it's an alright show, mostly antique's, but a few car's... last year I saw one hotrod there (knucklehead's)... Nice people, small town and lots of rust :)

This year much of the same, although it was great to see Rick and Mike selling their new banger speed gear.

I do remember buying two Revere hub caps, and then it took years to sell them. That trip still to this day is the longest day trip I can remember, maybe not from a mileage standpoint, but gee will I ever get there feeling.

If there is one thing to be learned from Stowe, it's the requirement (used to be anyway) that all participants take part in the parade through town on Saturday at noon. This is accompanied by a PA announcer saying who the owner is, where he's from and a little history on the car. You also get to see the car in motion. Hundreds of people up and down the main street in Stowe sitting on the curb or a lawn chair taking it in. Something sorely lacking at most meets, methinks.

You get to see everything from amphicars to 30's era school buses and sherman tanks and halftracks on rubber treads, very cool.

went to the Stowe show this year. They didn't require every car to participate in the parade since they had over 700, and couldn't fit them all on the parade route. Good show though. Swap meet probably better before I got there since I wasn't able to get ther until Saturday afternoon. If you go next year, don't be in a hurry. Nice town, beautiful countryside. It's a long drive, so make the most of it.

    Sawzall, wassup with the 36???

A few pics from Stowe this year. As usual, some of the best stuf was in the parking lot.

I was up that way visiting friends and saw signs for it on the way to lunch w/ the family.
My wife was warning our friends that I might bail out and leave them to their own devices, but, I took one for the team and continued on.
After lunch, I was able to catch the tail end of the parade as we drove through town.
It looked like a HUGE event.
My favorite was a full bar and lawn chairs set up by the side of the road hours before the parade.
