Event Coverage Hot Rods at Pebble Beach 2010

My good friend Bill Akin of Nashville, Tn. won first in cl*** AND the Tony Hulman Trophy for the most significant race car present at the 2010 Pebble Beach Concours with his 1953 Kurtis Bardahl Special #15. What's amazing is this same car and owner won first in cl*** at Pebble Beach in 2001..Bill does all his own work at home in his ba*****t and his good friend Jim McPherson does all the paint work. This is unbelievable to most Pebble Beach and Indy participants. To see all his cars click on 32STUPRES and look at my photos...Congratulations old friend... Bill is not just a vintage Indy car owner...he's a true HOT RODDER!!....And by the way, this ain't no trailer queen..it has over 100 miles on it at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at significant speeds since restoration..it runs as good as it looks!!

 

FRANKS Morawski's .......Bonneville Car....... NEAT AS HELL..... I belive this car was built and owned by FRED CARRILLIO (Carrillo Rods) and was on the cover of HOT ROD in like 1950, 52 or 53 ???? Seen this car up close and is SUPER SUPER COOL!.......... Thanks for the GREAT PHOTOS!.............. Dig The Original Tires!
