Who makes dropped spindles for a '56 Ford?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Mitchell de Moor, Aug 21, 2010.

  1. Hey,

Planning on lowering my 1956 Ford Customline 300, can anyone help me out with links to a website, part numbers, or a brand, etc.

    Thanks guys!

I would try Jim over at Jamco. www.jamcosuspension.com

They don't have them listed on their site, but he has a lot of stuff in stock that isn't listed on his site...

  3. Thank you for your help! I will look into it for sure!

I have Fatmans spindles on my 55 but would get them from a different manufacture next time, nothing wrong with them but they only sell the spindles and you have to buy the rest of the parts seperately and can get expensive. I have seen complete kits available for a little more then what fatmans wants for just the spindles unless things have changes since I bought my spindles..

Funny you should ask. A buddy and I are dropping a '56 Ford as we speak. We put spindles out of a '75 Granada, that will drop you about 1 1/4 inch. Next we did coil springs from a '95 Aerostar. That dropped us another 2 1/2. With 60 series tires, he can pick tomatoes' right out the window!

  6. Hey, be sure to post some pictures on this thread when you are done, I want to see it!

  7. Thanks, know who makes those other kits?

Do you have to use disc brakes if you use the 75 granada spindels?
