BONNEVILLE.... is it worth the drive????

    If the Austrailians can fly around the world .. and us Crazy Canucks will drive for three days to get there ... I would say it's worth the drive.

    My very first time was in 1968 (lived in Calif. back then) and a couple of guys said, "Why don't you come along?"

    Staff (all of them) are volunters at Bonneville; and that year the announcer got sick or something, and being a stock car track/drag strip announcer, I just kinda offered to fill in. Well ... you get salt in your blood, and I continued to attend every year I could.

    At the 50th reunion (1998) I dragged a couple of my friends down from Canada.
    And as Cword says above; a race car was born!! - North of '49

    Sounds like it's a pilgrimage requiered for any rodder worth his salt.
