Im a vehicle mechanic in the Air Force, not involved with a car club, but when we have people leaving the shop either getting out of the military or going to another duty location, we make a clock out of a piston and rod. Sometimes we do the same thing with timing chain and gears or flexplate. All pieces are s**** parts that we save up or we go around to local shops asking for old pistons that they are tossing out. Dont want it to look like we are wasting your and my tax $$$. Anybody in New Jersey wana hook us up with some s**** pistons and rods, i'll come pick em up if it aint to far of a drive from me. (currently in Kuwait, but will be back soon)
