I'd like to know the name of the place that rolled it. Thanks in advance. Todd.

Logan Davis is my hero. When i first met logan i went up to his place to take a look at the 34 coupe years ago to let him know what it would take to build an alum track nose. he told me about what the plans were for the car (bonniville and then the street) and i walked away thinking this is another project with big dreams that will never see the light of day but if he wants a nose id be happy to do it for him. a month later the car was chopped and sitting on a frame in my shop ready for a nose. 9mo later he set the record at bonniville in his class, four months later he was at the grand national roadster show in candy paint and chrome looking awsome. It blew me away that a married man with a modest job could accomplish so much in such a short time. I was way to quick to judge. He has done it again. Brought me down a hunk of a car, asked for a hood, sides and grill insert and wa-la six months later a bonniville ready roadster. He allways has the eye for how a car should sit, and an awsome combo of parts to back it up. Congrats man, its looking great! You are officially my hero!!!! Cant wait to see her go. If you dont know, logan was the man behind the sceens of bobby greens old crow belly tank as well. His roadster was the hamb pic at the GNRS this year. He continues to kick ass and take names as far as traditional hot rods go. Best o luck to you on the salt!

Logan, No no no..... It's all wrong..... There is one MAJOR thing missing from your roadster...... That one thing that will make it look just right,,...... SALT !!!!! hahaha.
A few weeks from now, it will really look like something...... I'm gonna personally shovel a bunch of salt on it when you get there... LOL
Nice work brutha. See you soon.

Its been awhile since #544's introduction... all of us have been staying real busy. First order of business, we, (especially Logan) appreciate all of your comments and well wishes... It means a lot and helps push our collective efforts forward when things go awry. I also want to give thanks to Drew Pietsch for his continued tech support, it takes a lot more than one or two people to make something like this go down.

We now have rooms in Wendover and leave August 13th ......all systems GO!
....and for those of you going to Bonneville - if you happen to run across us in the pits stop by and say hello... rides in the rumble seat, .5 cents. :p

We also have #544 support t-shirts on sale for those interested,,,, sizes large, XL and some XXL's. I forgot to snap a picture of the shirt but will do that tonight, just drop a line if you want one :) (shameless plug!!!! haha)

August 2, Monday - went to El Mirage for another test and tune session,.. the last outing it ran a bit fat. Hilborn whipped up some #6 nozzles for us which netted much better results. We think it has a bit more to give us still..... NEXT STOP BONNEVILLE!!!

....and now, for you viewing pleasure, movies and pictures!

104* F average, 13% humidity with light winds... perfect racing weather. Time spent on the lake bed roughly 4.5 hrs.

Back from Bonneville and already we are 363 days away from Speedweek 2011... better get to work!

this year was primarily a shake down trip for the car, it goes down the course straight and true. The driver Tom Evans was a wealth of knowledge and extremely helpful!!

Day #1 on the salt was hectic, tech didnt like our seat since it was built to fit someone else... another seat was graciously donated and by days end the tech inspector gave his thumbs up! we hauled as and staged it on the combo course for an early run. it was 15 minutes to 8pm and the salt was closing down for the evening.

Day #2... made our first run of the meet.... performance sucked @ 94mph. and after checking the plugs we were running way fat and noticed #1 appeared to be dead. go to do a compression test and OOPS, forgot the compression tester.... we borrowed one from someone, just cant remember who, we ended up using it for the duration of our time there. anyways, readings indicated entire passenger side was low on compression. we took the head off and everything looked good... since head was off we decided to flow test the injectors to make sure fuel was being distributed evenly and check lifter adjustment. injection checked out good but we found a couple sets of lifters had backed out of adjustment... #1 was the worse. buttoned up the motor and advanced timing a bit.... made a few passes that day, each time our mph increased.

After a gear fix/change on day #3 and #4 our best time of the meet was 113.8XX... screw it, we did 114 mph :p
We have a couple adjustments for the November El Mirage meet that should give us a bit more MPH, we'll see. its a good hotrod motor, nothing to write home about... but it sounds good. ;)

video of push off, for run #1.... motor sounds a bit ragged on take off....

Plan 9 and all the Milestone crew...very nice. I met with you guys on salt while tagging along with the Cannarozzi crew (I had the Hunter S. Thompson shirt, floppy straw hat and the camera). Anyway, your crew was squared away and seemed like great guys and your car is bitchin'. I took some pics and you can check them out on my Flickr site. Just click the link. I also have a video from the starting line of your innagural run on the salt. If you'd like, I can email it to you.

I look forward to seeing this car progress just like the Cannarozzi car; it is awesome to see "real" traditional hot rods racing...
