Best way to seal up intake on 350

    Ok here we go. 350 chevy cast iron intake cleaned and roloc, motor valley cleaned and roloc and new flpro gasket kit. I dont want this ****er to leak . Thanks billy

    Throw rubber end pieces in trash. Take some silicone and put a real thin smear around the water p***ages on both sides of the gaskets. I put a couple dabs of Hi Tack or something on the gaskets to hold them in place. Put them on and put a 1/8 bead of silicone on the end rails just overlapping the gaskets a tad. Let the silicone set up a few minutes so it has a skin on it and doesn't stick to your finger. Set the intake on so it straight so it doesn't move the gaskets. Make sure the threads of your bolts are clean and put a dab of ARP thread sealer or similar on them so it won't wick up oil onto the intake. Then tighten them up in a cross pattern from the center out to the ends.

    Watch the fibers from the roloc disks,they find their way to engine bearings,and you can guess the rest!
