Still in the states, this is good! DAYTONA BEACH -- Crane Cams isn't dead after all. After a year-long shutdown, Wisconsin-based S&S Cycles, which bought the assets of Crane Cams, has restarted the 6-decade-old company with production moved to 1640 Mason Ave., county and city officials announced Thursday. "We're going to be able to provide the market with the product that has been there for the last 60 years," said plant manager Sean Holley. "We look forward to improving on the great reputation of Crane Cams." Complete article http://www.news-journalonline.com/b...esurrected-production-begins-at-new-site.html
Great news, between my shop and two former employers, I truly can't recall all of the races and championships won using Crane Cams. As a Floridian, I am equally glad to have them remain here too. WELCOME BACK!!!!!! Thanks divco13. Hey, I have a nice 540 for that cool rig in your avatar........................
Well now that's some good news . I hope things work out for them . I really liked their cams . Retro Jim
considering that started out right here in south floruida that is cool . in the mid 90's i had some thing's done at the factory and they were very cool in how they treated me .
Having worked with S&S on tooling for their latest bike engine it seams like these guys know what there doing and treat their people right.
Thanks for the offer, the Divco already has a tweaked 502 in it with a 4L80E trans. I am thinking more like a 572!
Nice , very nice, my wife is a Deland native, next time I go up and see the inlaws, we will have to get together and have a beer and some grouper
S&S ROCKS!! I phoned them when I had heard they acquired Crane because I was looking for a cam for my hemi. Crane was shut down at the time. S&S phoned a gentleman who was taking inventory for them at Crane and found the cam I was looking for! (the last one they had in stock!) They shipped it that day! They were polite, and wanted to help me Customer service like that is getting harder to find it seems...
