Greeting from Riverside,CA!! Well, let's see... Probably like alot of us here, I was introduced to cars by my dad. Grew up helping pops out in the backyard working on old cars he'd find goin to and coming from work. Most of the cars we owned were our daily drivers. Back in the 70's & early 80's these old gems were some-what plentiful and fairly cheap. Most of the cars we owned just needed some TLC and we were "ROLLIN"!! My first car was a '53 Chevy 4dr that we picked up for $300!! At age 10,it was my first engine rebuild. Instead of doin' my homework after school, I'd run to the backyard and start cleaning parts before my dad got home from work.(got many *** whoopins for that..)Turned out that Chevy used to be a V.I.P. vehicle for the Navy!! At one point we had about 6 cars in our backyard and they all ran. They weren't complete restorations but they were dependable. My dad and I have owned many '53-'66 Chevy & Ford trucks that we used for construction work. Talk about work horses.. Well, enough about me. I look forward to continue learning from everyone here and helping out when ever I can. I will say this, I'm no "expert" or "guru" but am willing to share every bit of knowledge I've absorbed over the last 30+ years. Take care & see ya when I see ya.... Sid
