I came across this on You Tube, this guy is a true craftsman, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGElSHzm0q8&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUwBxIm03Jc&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrQKuD1JJv0&feature=channel Dave Gardiner makes it look so easy, enjoy.
You should check out this guy. I like him a lot as well. http://www.youtube.com/user/lazzemetalshaping plus he sells training material at his website. I have learned a lot just from his youtube vids. enjoy
Buy David Gardiner's DVD. It's well worth the price. Lots of common sense, low buck ways to fabricate parts.
The thing that got me interested was the idea of just using hammers and a shot bag to learn the basics of metal shaping first, then you can move on to the E.wheel etc.,but you don't need to. He builds some kick'in stuff like a '34 coupe and a T roadster. Really makes me think that I might be able to turn something out. I can't afford "real steel" nowadays and my feeling is that gl*** is for boats, Corvettes & surfboards, although I've seen some nice builds on here.
I was so impressed with the clips, I purchased the video, lots of common sense but it really demonstrates what can be achieved at home with the bare minimum of tools some skill and ingenuity, as the man says the expensive tools only speed up the process. Well worth the money.
