and last but not least, got the motor mounts welded on, and got the motor set and leveled. the radiator will sit just behind the crossmember, the grillshell will sit on top with the front edge covering the crossmember just behind the axle. i need to section in a 2.75 inch piece of metal into the side of the shell to cover the radiator as it sits behind the crossmember. the long bolts in the trans crossmember are temporary as the hardware store was closed when i was finishing up. i made the trans crossmember the way i did so i can route the exhaust over it to keep it tight under the car, and so i can remove the trans without dropping the exhaust. i will need to add a leaf or two to the top of the spring pack as it is a bit soft, and close to the axle,(close being like 2.5 inches, maybe ok, but if i bounce on it with all my weight 205 pounds i can get it to just touch the axle, but only if i bounce real hard on it) i dont want dad hitting a large bump and smackin the frame on the axle. next project will be setting up the rear suspension
