    Guys,

Anyone know if there is a replacement panel available for Tudors in this area? Both sides of my '32 are pretty crusty here!

Will the Brookville 'Under Fender Panel Patch' (PN B-181) work here? Can't tell in the catalog if that is specifically for the roadster only, or a common '32 part?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Send 3 Deuces (Buster) a PM,,,I believe he uses coupe/roadster wheel wells on his sedans for better tire clearance. HRP

Yes he does ,,, :) All 3 of his sedans have this done to them.
He installs the coupe/roadster wheel wells. The only change is that your original back seat does do fit any longer.

The best photo I have ... but you can see that the roadster/coupe wheel weels work out nice.

I don't think anyone makes them for a sedan and the sedan wheel wells taper out mimicking the body lines where as the coupe/roadster are more vertical to accommodate a wider tire. HRP

Use parts of an old rear fender to make the patches...

I had the same problem, advertised for a set and was successful in getting both sides for $200. I have been seeing a reproduction set on ebay from time to time but I don't recall where they are located. The Limeworks has done several on sedans and has one in their shop currently. Call Steve he may be able to help.

I ended up with two originals.

Not sure if fourdoor or two...

I know the spacing of the braces is different.

    I'll have to check...

    Not great

Unless you are trying to do a 100% restoration the is no reason not to use the coupe/roadster wheel wells.

It looks great and will give you a little more tire clearance, granted you will have to narrow up you rear seat but just a few inches. HRP

To my knowledge there are no sedan wheel tub repair panels made m*** production. All tubs made are for coupe/roadster application. They are widely sold for hot rod application in tudor/4dr sedan as they give a larger tub wheel house to allow the lower body stance and the use of wider tires with less tendency to scrub during cornering roll.. The disadvantage is that it changes the rear seating distance and narrows the seat. If you are not worried no problem use the coupe panels.

A real old thread but still a problem with most sedans. A good metal shaper can duplicate yours (Walden in CA) or modify the repro's to save the seat.
