I've just found this thread, really over an hour ago, and am actually sorry to come to this point. Can't wait to follow this thru to completion. Great work and dedication.

I just discovered this thread. Haven't yet read every page, but it's a wonderful project! The roof of your car is one of the best I've ever seen on a shoebox, and I love the blown flathead with a BMW gearbox! I'll watch your further progress with great interest.
I have worked little on my shoebox I have try to blaser some more parts and done it but both to day and yesterday. I try to begin to blaster one of the front fenders but on take it out an begin were enougt for the rain fall down. /Stefan
Stefan, Good to hear you are making more progress. I must admit I get excited when I see in my email a notification that this thread has been updated. I really have enjoyed this build. Stay dry!
Whats better than seeing a car turn into a great custom job? Seeing a car that would otherwise be destined for the wreckers turn out as a great custom. Excellent work!
Thanks for liking my build and thaks for your coments I have now one the third try blastered my one of my front fenders /Stefan
Thanks for the coments I have blaster little on next front fender The fucking during mass is not funny to blaster away. It take lott of time to do that /Stefan
Thats right and it not fun to blaster a way. It take time if it sits well I have little luck for some of it flys dirict of but only some of it. /Stefan
Stefan, if that's the original rust proofing, a little heat from a propane torch and a gasket scraper will go a long way... at least for the big stuff. Just heat for a few seconds and it scrapes right off!
Thanks for the tips and for your coments I worked little on my front fenders and weld up the holes for the 1950 turn lights I shall use a 1949 grille on my shoebox. /Stefan
Thanks for the coments I worked little on my front fenders and i have weld the bolt holes for the 1950 turn lights I shall blaster the rest of the fendes soon as i have time and the wether is good enought. The rain most of the time now This fenders is blasted.... /Stefan
Now the last front fender is blasted I have begin to think about my frontseat This front seat is not good and it is for a 4 door car and i beleve it's from a 1951 too Mabybe i will fix another one or should i restore it and cut the back in 2 pieces. /Stefan
I would say do the 4 door one into a 2 door. You already have it. Make it fit the tracks first so the position in the car looks good, then do the top half split so it works properly. Besides you have already custom made everything for this car, why stop now and use a stock 2 door boring old seat.
Thanks for the coments I have blasted my front stonedeflector It seams it have a bowl in the rightside behind the grille or should look like this? I belve it should be like the other side. /Stefan
