I just discovered this thread. Haven't yet read every page, but it's a wonderful project! The roof of your car is one of the best I've ever seen on a shoebox, and I love the blown flathead with a BMW gearbox!

I'll watch your further progress with great interest.

Whats better than seeing a car turn into a great custom job? Seeing a car that would otherwise be destined for the wreckers turn out as a great custom. Excellent work!

Stefan, if that's the original rust proofing, a little heat from a propane torch and a gasket scraper will go a long way... at least for the big stuff. Just heat for a few seconds and it scrapes right off!

This front seat is not good and it is for a 4 door car and i beleve it's from a 1951 too
Mabybe i will fix another one or should i restore it and cut the back in 2 pieces.

I would say do the 4 door one into a 2 door. You already have it. Make it fit the tracks first so the position in the car looks good, then do the top half split so it works properly.

Besides you have already custom made everything for this car, why stop now and use a stock 2 door boring old seat.
