Hello out there to all you knuckle busters. Been beating and banging on cars with my father for years but always just fixing something and never building anything. So, we started redoing a 1947 chevy 5 window p/u 3 or 4 years ago and It has allowed us to spend some quality time together and share a few cold brews. Time well spent!
robbeky, of you sir, I am jealous! I never took the time to do that with my father and now I can't! To you I hoist my brew and say "Welcome to the h.a.m.b." to the both of you and enjoy....
robbecky, sounds like a kool experience, I envy that. Welcome to the H.A.M.B. from Arkansas City, KS. firstnomad www.angelfire.com/jazz/flatlandstudio
Welcome from a fellow Kentuckian. You are representing us well. Though I didn't get to share any builds with my father for a list of reasons, we do travel together to several events a year. We just got back from the Frog Follies and we had a blast together. Around a 6 hour drive together and three days of just talking about whatever comes to mind.
Welcome from Western CO. Built a 51 for my dad since he always liked to talk about the 49 5 window he had back in the 60's. He said he wanted something to tinker with, so I didn't finish it completely so we could work on it together. Turns out he wants ME to tinker with it. Didn't turn out quite like I planned for a father/son thing, but at least he likes driving it!
Welcome, from the mount! enjoy your time with your dad. mine's gone now, but i inhereted his love of old cars, so he still lives in my projects
