Hi all, name's Rob. Was bitten with the car bug since 1965 when neighbor pulled in his driveway with a brand new 65 Rivera - still my dream car. Currently I have 69 Mach I that is being hot rodded this winter. Minor engine and body work, bigger exhaust and wheels. just sold 66 T-bird - I'm old, but that was way too mature for me. Next project will be either a 36, 37, or 38 Ford Coupe. Want to do it as a clean rat rod (flat black, brushed trim, lake pipes......) Look forward to contributing to the board and will truly appreciate all the advice and info.
The best advise that I can give ya is to not mention your "non hamb friendly" vehicles and drop the "rat rod" terminology! With that being said, welcome from Arkansas. Good luck on your "next project".
Just what is a "non hamb friendly" car? Thought this was open to wider selection? If my cars are not hamb friendly then maybe I should have been notified when signed up. I'm just a life long car guy interested in keeping the life-hobby going. Sorry to have offended.
By no means was I offended. Generally speaking anything newer than 1964 is considered "non hamb friendly". Most of us own "non hamb friendly" vehicles, we just don't discuss them here. There are a lot of members here that don't happen to own a "traditional hot rod or kustom" and that is fine. They do however share a p***ion for them, thats all thats really required. So once again welcome...
