'50 Ford trunk hinges on a '29 roadster

    any tricks, they go on straight or angled, etc. thanks

    They won't work on an angle.
    The pivot points must be in line.
     
  3. theres a streetrodder article from the mid/late 90s or early 2000s that had intructions on how to install them. i tried them on my sedan and just couldnt get them to work.

    looking at the angle of the truck when it is open, I see no way to make them work. Of course that is with the old hinges on it.

    The later external hinges pick up the lid and lift it up and out of the hole.
    The original pivot pin-type hinges simplt tip the lid up in the hole.

    Remove the pins, align the later hinges, tape them to the lid and upper deck panel and carefully lift, you'll see how they work. Note. Hinges must be exactly aligned fore-aft and pivot pins exactly aligned across the lid.
