hmm...beautiful as is...I could see some different wheels and tires and maybe a little lower in the rear...but it would be hard to hack up a cl***ic beauty like this. Hopefully this is not the one you would want to 'customize'.

I'm terrible with computers also, I just folded my photographs down, ''the old fashion way'', and decided on a 3'' chop... It came out fine!

If you touch that car with a torch or a saw I WILL send someone to break your knees! If you want to chop a car either get a junker or get an older car.

Very mild chop, and layed the rear screen down to fit.

Leave the roof and just raise the belt line, and make this:

Of course this is WAY off topic, but I love Mark IIIs.

Your not very good with computers, but you have over 1,000 posts. And you have been a member over 3 years and make a post about chopping a Mark III Lincoln?

Car looks very clean, leave it alone.....step away

Yea it helps to have PhotoShop, and I've been using it since '88, so I'm not TOO bad with it. Bigger photos with more resolution would have helped it look better. :D

Oh, and my dad had a Mark III that had come out of Florida. After several more years in Iowa dad finally retired the car and it sat outside forelorn. When he finally sold it a local wrecker company came and got it and "picked it up". One of the frame rails literally fell out from underneath the car! So "another one bit the dust"...

See my avatar? Chopped. And frenched. etc. And it was JUNK when I got it. A nice, sharp, clean car like that Lincoln? DON'T F&^% with it. Sell it so someone who will appreciate it for what it is and find something that needs redone and then redo it any way you want.
Can it be chopped? Yes. Should it be chopped? No.

Should it be chopped? Yes it does, I has a problem like the Riviera and the
windshield is too high for the car. I did a very mild chop and get the windshield
down a little bit... also re radiused the back wheel opening to match the front
shorten the front bumper ends fill in tailights.....Just a quicky photo chop.

It is along weekend you can get it done, I can't wait to see the pictures on Tuesday.
    LOL!!

All cars needs a cut here and there. some just a little bit

The club name goes back to the late 50's when the club was formed by a few stock car drivers, the old hobby cars that ran the Pa. dirt circuit , Reading , Williams Grove , Port Royal, Hill Top, etc. and most of them were from Ebenezer, PA.

The biggest thing in the small town of Ebenezer was the cemetery ,hence the "Silent City."

    You guys might be right.
Maybe I'll just pick up some of them stick on flames at Auto Zone, put a wing on the trunk and 2 of them big fart can mufflers and maybe some neon.

my buddy has a green 69 thats pretty solid in wva. under 2 gs.. sell yours. buy his, then your not out any green, and the nice lincoln can stay that way.

Do what you want to it.. but I think its fine the way it is.

When my cousin bought his black 69 i took it on many many shakedown runs. its fast and everyone loves it.

I'd keep it simple and lo-budget. Drop it and maybe just go with black steelies.

The better they are when you start the easier and better the finished job. No patching, less reinforcing, and much easier to keep things aligned. I like the overall look of the radical chop 3spd did, but would try to achieve the same look by not chopping the roof so much (to maintain headroom) and raising the rear quarters 2" to achieve that similar look. Its a nice car and will look nicer when done! Go for it.

  29. Car came factory with a chop...sounds like the Department of Redundancy Bureau.

A Mark IV is what you really want. Mark III's are cl***y. A IV is pimpy so cut away!
