If the adjustment screw on the driver side of the car does not affect idle when it is turned all the way in or all the way out is it a carb problem or possibly a vacuum leak at the intake? I havent found a vacuum leak at the intake and I have ruled out a vacuum leak everywhere else. I have cleaned out the adjustment holes so it is not a problem with it being clogged. It is an edelbrock carb if that helps. The reason I ask is a rebuild kit is $50,and with a baby who needs super allergic formula every little bit helps:)

If one screw is out too far the other won't react. Screw the one in that seems to work until it idles rough then try it. If that doesn't work it sounds like you have **** in the carb.
