Hi HAMB family. Family, that word means a lot to most of us. Hot rods, street rods, kustoms call 'em what you will have been p***ed on through my family with my Dad, brother, sister and uncles all having some type of modified cars and trucks. Well today my youngest of 4 daughters got her first vehicle a 1934 Ford pickup 33 years and 1 day after I got my first car my 1936 Ford coupe which I still have. her (and I) couldn't be any prouder, her are some pics of her with her truck, look for more pics as work progresses and I will keep you posted. And by the way, she is 16 welds quite well and is no stranger to sanding filler and primer she will be doing much work herself with my supervision. Thanks for letting me brag a little! the coupeman36.
very straight looking truck she got , i wish we got cars that age with so little rust over here but most are rotten lol. oh and bonny looking daughter to she looks well chuffed with her truck
Great start, you should join the boxtruck group here http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=167 Her 34 looks like its a far better start than the 33 we are building for my dad, but my nickels would only stack so high (I made my dad sit behind the wheel a make hotrod noises too but he was tired and grumpy by the time we shoe horned his *** into the cab) http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=473875&showall=1 We expect progress pics
Good job, Dad! Damn good job. Not the truck, though it's plenty cool- I'm just talking about laying all of the ground work that has led to this day. Clearly, you've had her out in the shop for a while. I'm doing the same with mine, but she has to help build mine before we build one for her. Besides, I'm six years behind you. She's grousing about having to get homework done tomorrow before she can come out to the garage and help me, LOL.
Looks like we have a very lucky daughter and a way proud dad, thanks for sharing , please keep us updated,,,,,Sam
Excellent job Pops. Love the picture of her hugging her pride and joy. Keep us posted on the progress.
Autumn, it is great that you are going to help build your ride.... just make sure that when it's done that you let Dad ride in it once in a while...
Priceless pictures! Congrats Autumn, I look forward to seeing a build thread on this! PS - you have a good Dad!
Thats what hot roddings all about, spending time on a build with a family member. Good luck on your build.
