I am looking for a U channel rubber to install in the stationary non-sliding gl*** in the rear sides of the 54 wagon and I haven't had much luck. Where have you guys found what you needed? HRP
There is a company called K-GAP out there that has some hard to find rubber pieces. Found all the rubber for my pop's 1930 Hudson with them. They may have what you need. http://www.k-gap.com <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
You have a Ford wagon? There are no vulcanized rear quarter window seals available that I know of. Send me your email address and I can forward some cross sections of window channel extrusions.
Here ya go. I'd call them. They have been around a long time and they know their stuff. I bought the wrong size vertical runner for a 57 Ranchero. I cut it to match the length before trying it in the slot. I thought I was out of luck for being so stupid but when I told the guy at the next show he gave me a new piece the correct size. No charge. I didn't ask he just did it. If I had asked the first time with the application they would have given me the correct size. It was a special steel backed runner.
www.metrommp.com I've used them, they have more stuff than they know, seem to need to get their catalog so you can apply your knowledge to their products. You may be looking for the same piece I needed for the door trim on my van, back door econoline van edge moulding, its semi rigid plastic, dealer part.
I will be interested to see if you find these. I have a 59 Ford Ranchwagon and need the top tailgaight seals on body and window and haven't had any luck. Checked with Metro, Steele Dennis Carpenter so far, anyone with any other suggestions would be cool. Thanx ~Sololobo~
Just bought a set of door weather stripping for my '56 from Soft Seal. They were half the price of Steele's. I believe Soft Seals quality is better as well.
i have a 59 ranchwagon also . i believe the top tail lights you are referring to are the backup light housing gaskets . i may have an extra set if you need them .any idea's on the side window gaskets or the rear tailgate window? i did find some "u" channel to make the side window gaskets from restoration specialties. corners are tough as i have no way to mold it like the factory did but it beats the old gasket which was missing
I think Sololobo is looking for the back window rubber not the backup taillights rubber. I'm in the same boat down here,i've kept a peice of the rubber so i could match it to something...Plus are the backup tailight gaskets on mine are made of cork material..
