OK. so I got my uncles 51 shoebox and have the 8BA out and after getting black to my elbows removing the pistons and valves, it is apart for cleaning. Surprised me that it is all original with little wear. Crank is .001 down, cylinders are .012 over. original valves all good but they will be replaced. The car is not what I want because it is a four door and pretty rusty so I am going to sell it, cheeeep. Offers accepted. I have one HAMBer that wants it but shipping might lose the deal. I don't want to say it but if it don't sell soon it will be sold for s**** prices. I just can't keep it here forever. Now to the crust of my post, I need some ideas for a build. Just so everyone here knows where I am, I am James Rogers from Asheville, NC and build any and all flatheads with Model A and B engines a specialty. I have lots of A parts particularly a Model A frame that has been Z'd in the rear so, I would like to use it for a build. I also have a front spring that has the eyes reversed to put in it. The frame will be boxed and the front axle dropped 3". Now where do I go from here? I just would like some ideas for something along these lines for a cool build. I also like primered look and low but not on the ground. Any help or ideas are appreciated. I would also trade the shoebox for a suitable A or the like body. The 51 has a dent free body with great front fenders and some really good parts. Understand the bottom 6" all around are suspect for rust even the floors are nearly perfect and unmolested. All the parts are unmolested except for rust, I even bent the tabs on the rear universal to remove the driveshaft for the first time since the car was built at Ford.
Look in the wanted section, there is someone looking for a 51 shoebok to cut in half to make a trailer...... would be better than s****ping her...
