tig wire

    what kind of wire you guys using for welding mild steel and chromoly i use a wire called missle wire. getting hard to find maybe you can help me find or let me know what u use

    for tig I use a roll of mig wire and just cut off what I need and keep on going be sure no flux

    ER70s-2 or ER70s-6 i belive both work -6 has more deoxidizing compounds silacon/mangaes ect

    e-80s e2 for moly.It has moly in it.Steel e 70 type wire is just fine and more econmical.The so called missle rod is a stainless wire.I like eutectic 680.Stainless wires are not to be used on moly..................

    I use allstate 275 and e70s, i think the e70s is 'tougher' and will let the joint flex while the 275 is stronger, so i'll use the 275 for ch***is welding and the e70s for suspension pieces and bracketry.

    ya the missile wire is a low carbon stainless it says for welding disimilair metals the reason i ask is its 130 for a ten pound box i got it from a off-road shop that tigs everything. were would i get the 275 at "oj"
