Hi We are some lads from Sweden on a two week road trip in September. The plan is to visit Good guys Chicago land National Il in Sept. 17, 18 and 19 and then drive to Fall Jefferson Show in WI on the 24, 25 and 26. Someone knows if the show is good or not? Anything else on the road in this area worth to pay a visit to? Mats Carlsson Sweden
Mats: Both great shows. You will enjoy. Your group would be welcome to join our Saturday a.m. HAMB & Eggs breakfast (7:00 a.m.) We've had guest from England, etc., so if you might be interested, pm me and I'll send you information. It's not far from the Goodguys event in Chicago. Stu
Yeah, Jefferson is a huge swap. Too bad you're not sticking around until October... you could come to the Hunnert Car Pileup on the 9th. I think the Dean/Ducktail runs are around that time in Indiana. Oct 3 is the Road Rockets' vintage drags If you want to see some good old American craziness, you could stop by Spring Green, WI on your way to Jefferson and see The House On The Rock, and Frank Lloyd Wright's school and house.
Jefferson is a great swap, but come prepared for rain/mud. I wore snow boots last time. Hard to see it all in one day, usually a lot of good deals on the fall show.
Hello.........Jefferson a great swap.............lots of great vendors and a great cars for sale........lots of friendly people in the midwest.....enjoy the show....Big Bad John
my shop is in Jefferson and we live close by. I would be honored to host you during your visit to Jefferson. I will have cars in the Car Corral and will also be happy to show you my complete inventory. check it our here: www.topnotchvehicles.com I am hoping my pals from Kansas make the trip to the Jefferson Swap Meet. They would enjoy meeting you. They live very close to a town that is pretty much pure Swede.
We had some friends from Upsala Sweden here last year and had a blast you guys know how to party. If you are here on Thursday before the Good-Guys show we will be at the pre-party at Hot Rod Ch***is and Cycle they are a good bunch of guys with some killer stuff going on there always a good time.
Thanks bobwop I´ll give you a call when we are there and we love to see all of the cars you got in your shop. Thanks Mats /usabil
bobwop, I'd like to talk to about the Buick rear axle swap if you're around, I have a '37. I'll have to check out your cars in corral. What are you bringing so I'll know they're yours? If you happen be around I'll stop by.
Jefferson is a good show. Wear good shoes. it is 99 acres. Goodguys is a good show but it is too expensive. I wont be going this year. Ducktail was very good last as was the James Dean.
you fellas that want to reach me...send me a PM and I will offer you my cell. number, or, go to the website and call the office, or, look for the "picnic" shelter in the car corral, far SE corner. I will be parked in or just outside the shelter. Some friends usually have quite an ***ortment of HAMB friendly Vettes for sale and I hang with them. If you need to know which car in the car corral is mine, just look for the best deal!
I would also just look for a big tall redhead man standing guard over his cars with a mean look on his face.
Don't forget the Goodguys pre-party at Hot Rod Ch***is & Cycle! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=505708
