I didn't think I was going to get any replays.Yes it's outstanding the lake and all the mountains. The car show and the fort grounds what more could you ask.
Uhg, Im home sick now! Lived on Lake George through High school, still my favourite place on earth! And thats saying a lot ,considering where I live....
Georges' steak house ,,, one of my favorite places for dinner . It's all good , but the prime rib ,,,outstanding !!!!
I will be there with my 34 on friday, but only as a spectator, as REGISTRATION was closed three weeks ago when I checked.
Second that for Georges.Grew up in same neighboorhood of his squeeze. They have a cat shelter also,so whatever you donate you get a gift certificate for the steak house for the same amount. Been putting cars in the show for close to 20 years but have not the last few years.Got to be sorta of a h***le so now I haul one of my cars up early each day of the show and park on the main drag in the village all day with a cooler,of course.Been doing a TV show on the Nationals the last few years for the local station so thats fun. Fri-Sat nites the main street is closed to all except show participants so thats pretty cool. It's a good show,1500 on the grounds and probably 1000 parked on the streets.Lot of muscle and up to 1980 stuff but there is plenty of all genres to satisfy you no matter your craving.I like them all.Just saw a tv ad for the show today saying Dennis Gage from My Cl***ic Car will be there filming if that trips your trigger. Weather is looking good.Sunny, low 70's all 3 days.
It doesn't matter that you're not in the show. I've been going for about 10 years and actually only put a car in the show once. The whole town is a show, every parking lot and road is loaded with cars. See you Friday.
I'm going a a spectator both Friday night and Saturday. A friend of mine gets a p*** just too cruse at night send his application in a week late missed out this year he had been to every one . Parking is a h***le and very crowed at night but usually a good cruise and show the flea market is poor. But would not miss it!!
I'm going up Thursday to Sunday. Our club has been going since the nesro days I think that is what it was called. We have stayed at the same Motel since 1979.
Wiil be up there Thur eve, Friday, part of Saturday. Out grew the Host Hotel many years ago. Wish it was in Saratoga. Be Careful with parking , Meters run all Weekend, get on the back street and buy a Permit for whole Weekend. Weather Permiting, trying to get to Ty-Rods for the first time on Sun. " BuckSnort " is easy to find , looks alot like Jerry Garcia
leaving thursday morning not in the show but will be out front in one of the parking spots , anyone have a junk pair of sbc headers just need the flange side ,harvest resturant in glens falls is a great place to eat to
We went and had a good time cruzing around in my g***er.we will be there next year camping in the campground where the burnout are done.
I think that is a record, A member of the Spindles going to a show. I don't think I have seen a Spindles member at any show other then there own.
Been to every one myself.Course it helps I live 9 miles away.Checked your Deuce out up there, liked it.Was one of the biggest shows they have had.Had a blast. The campground across from the bowling alley has always been a hot spot.
