I'm sure someone else has had this problem. TheGrandson/Grandfather team installed a B&M "Street Rod" shifter in his 38 chevy truck. As you can see the handle is too close to the knee and leg when using the gas pedal. We wanted to use the 38 steering wheel but when you set in the truck and want to move your leg over to clear the shift handle, the leg hits the steering wheel.Ok change to a smaller wheel Right. The leg has to be held just right to clear the handle and on a long drive that would become very painful.Thought of making my own handle but wanted to pass it by you Guys and gals. Thanks so much. It has to do with the properties of aluminum. Try it and you will see why it don't work. Try not to get molten aluminum in you shoes.
Thanks Guys. I think the cut and weld is the only way I can go.It can't be rotated. Tom ( Tired Old man)
