My dad ordered a basic model A frame from brookville at the street rod nats, they said it would be four weeks. Four weeks go by, no word call'em up and they say its gonna be another four weeks! Seems like an aweful lot of time to build up an a frame or is it just me. Has anyone else experienced crummy service from them like this? Who else would you guys recommend sourcing an aftermarket frame from?
    Thanks Chad

That sure doesn't sound like the Brookville Roadster I've dealt with for over 30 yrs.

I wouldnt be suprized if they didnt get quite a few new orders at the nats that would set them back a bit on production times

Well, has he called and checked on a ship date? I'm a bit like Russco in thinking that the order is probably down in the middle of the stack and waiting it's turn but I'd make a simple call to check on how far out it is.

Yeah he has made calls and gets the same responses, not ready yet, four weeks out. Makes ya wonder if they have even started on it yet. I have been surprised by it to, knowing there reputation. I am sure it will be worth the wait, just kinda frustrating.

Pete and Jakes has the best frames around.
I've seen P&J, and Brookville side by side, no comparison

Call again and ask for Rick Johnson. Be nice and tell him your story. I do know they build frames in batches to keep labor time down. But they are made in America by hand. Plus summer months are peak sales and production time. But you do deserve an honest time estimate.

Please post your outcome - good or bad.
