Those wheels are still being made in 15" (I am sure they DO NOT make the 14" anymore.) American Racing is out of business, they were bought by a group called WheelPros which still imports most of those styles.

    I don't know about 15X6's, but I used to
    have a set of 4.5BC 15X7 200S wheels.
They made them in 15X8's too....and for
Datsun, Corvair, Falcon and Pinto racers,
    even some '4-bolt-4-spoke' 13X5, 6 and
    7's sizes too!

Anyone know when they first started making these "Daisys"(the American ones not the pretty flower ones) Aren't the newer ones smoother on the spokes. I have a set of the older ones on my truck and was just wondering how old they might be.

The 5-spoke 200S was an adaptation of the 4 bolt/4 spoke Libre wheel used on early road race british-japanese cars. The 200S first appeared about 1968 on Camaro and Mustang Trans-Am cars. The originals had a rough, as cast spoke finish while later versions came along with the highly polished spokes as an option.

1969 was the debut of this new American Racing wheel. It's still my all time fav. It just belongs on '55 Chevy's and '67-69 Custom Vette's.

As this ad says 15x6.75 up to 15x10...But I've seen a few of the RARE 15x4.5 skinnys out there as well.

  11. The skinnies bring stupid "Rare" unobtainium money, about $2000.00 a pair!

I have 15x6 200S wheels on my 63 Corvette. I used to have another spare set, but I sold them to a friend. I always preferred these to the Torque Thrust D wheels, but that is just a personal preference.

The chrome rimmed, two -piece versions ( 200SCP) came in 14"... I had a set made into 15x8s by Stockton wheel for my car.

Most of the cast versions are Chevy blot patterns... the two-piece ones tend to be uni-lug.

Thought I had a pair of 14x6's. Just checked -they're 14x7 Ford pattern. One real nice, the other's a bit cruddy. They'd sure look good on an econo van !!!

I have a pair of those in 1/8 the scale size for models... They look like 15. x 10's

  20. Not a huge fan of 200s wheels, those were on my 56 Nomad when I purchased( the seller kept them) . I did see a set on a 70's era Chevy van at a pull part , they were chrome, and pitted bad. I should have bought them for the $75.00 dollars I was quoted.

If you find the chrome ones, you can have them re-hooped with new outer barrels. My front ones were kind of crusty and one had a crack in it. I had them set the backspacing to where I wanted it. I also had the 10s on the back cut apart and re-welded with a little more back spacing to tuck into the fenders.

  22. They crushed the Van with them on it ! When I went back a day later.

I like the aluminum ones, but they are very hard to find in the 4.5" bolt pattern. The chrome ones are HEAVY...

  26. I like the style of wheels on the right car and of course nothing speaks TLB louder on a '55 Chevrolet! American was the most known but others made them and to this day I have not found out whom made these, anyone?? They are 15x10, notice no lip on the spokes...

    'Western' made those.

  28. Any info on what they called them? I always liked them better because on the 15x10s they have more polished lip.
