It's hard to believe you've been gone 33 years today.

It's crazy to think it's been that long. I own a tattoo shop in West Chester, PA and we tattooed Jungle Pam last year with the logo on his car. Great man and a great lady carrying on his spirit to this day.

I remember building that model back in the '70s. It's hard to believe he's been gone now more years than he was alive.

Man it is really hard to believe that it has been that long. In my mind only John Force has come near to him in overall coolness and that was over ten years ago. First Jungle died and about six weeks later Lynard Skynard's plane crashed and three members of the band, one p***enger and the pilots were killed. Really sad time period for a lot of us, to say the least.

Time sure fly's. I remember seeing him when I was young. Grew up a couple streets over from Jungle Pam and am still friends with her brother today.

9/9/77 - "Jungle Jim" Liberman was killed in an early morning crash when the yellow Corvette he was driving on the West Chester (Pa.) Pike went through the median barrier and collided head-on into a South East Philadelphia Transit Authority bus killing him instantly.

Think about how we feel of him today...... Imagine what he would be doing for drag racing and our hobby if he was still here..... Sad:(! I never got to see him run,but as a nova guy, hero status=yep!

Wow sadly I never got to see him run.Although at the age of nine we were avid members of the Revell club and tried our best to build some of the models that came out back then,of course this version was one of my favorites along with Prudhomme's car.
    A shot of the nova...
