My 49 Pontiac Silver Streak Gasser Project.

    Hello this is my current project I'm working on, its a 1949 Pontiac Silver Streak it was going to be Poncho powered as well but that fell through. Now the power plant is a '71 402 BBC, Pete Jackson Gear Drive, Aluminum GM L88 Heads, Borg Warner Rock Crusher Four Gear, 65 Pontiac GTO Diff with 336 gears still have lots of work to do, let me know what you think.

    I love gassers and I love Pontiacs. Perfect combo. Too bad you didn't stay all Pontiac. I'm building a '63 Catalina Gasser/Street freak. Looking good an dgood luck on your build. Keep us all posted on the progress. Mark L

    Just got the rims yesterday, Wheel Vintiques 15 x 8 with 28 1/2 Hurst cheater slicks.

    I like it! Back in the late seventies I worked in a body shop & the owner had an old 56 Chevy drag car he had not raced in a few years. It had an GM alum head 427 L88 motor. I was in love with that engine but could not afford it.

  13. novebbc im not sure if your buddy just has that axle in the mock up stage but i see the front swingshackel on the leaf spring looks like its sitting funny

    It's been on the road and the track for almost two months it runs a 13.05 1/4 mile at 108.98 mph gotta love it.
