Event Coverage Chicago Goodguys Pre-Party at HRCC!

Just an FYI that we are hosting the Goodguys kick off party at the shop again this year on Thursday Sept 16. We'll have live music from Art Adams (Rockabilly Hall Of Famer and Sun Studios recording artist) as well as The Honeybees. Have a look around the shop, hang out, and meet new friends. We had a great turn out last year. This one is looking to be even better!

Sounds like fun! Maybe we can show the Good Guys what real hot rods can do.

 

There is some dude that works for Goodguys... seems like he started some rat rod show years ago. Called Billetspoof, or something like that... What would he know anyway?

 

Sounds like a plan to me. Last year's Pre-Party was great.

 

The bands are all booked. Food set. Now all we need is a HAMB meet and greet on the 16th, and a ton of hot rods and customs!

 

Im there, cant wait.

How far are you located from the Speedway. I have a hotel around the speedway that my wife booked. I would like to come over pending what time I get to Joliet...

We're 40 miles from the track. We're 3 miles east of 355 at the North Ave exit. Where in N. IL are you coming from? It would be far easier to come to the shop first on Thursday.

 

The wife and I will be there. Should be a good time.

 

I'm coming from the west (30 miles) side of Rockford, IL. Trailering the car since we are going to debut my car and I don't have many miles on it yet or trust it yet...

The Sun is supposed to make an appearance at 1pm for those wondering. Art Adams at 5pm, Honeybees at 7pm, pizza and drinks at 4pm. Let's all show the street rodders that hot rodders aren't scared by a few clouds!!!

Thanks everyone that came out on thursday. We had a great time. The Honeybees rocked as always. And Art Adams... wow. Hard to believe that he was standing in our shop and playing. Magical. He gave Kevin and I each a signed 45 with his 4 big hits. How cool is that??
