Hey guys, Im sure Im not the only one that doesn't have a garage so my question is can some one recomend some decent outdoor car covers for my 1950 Chevy deluxe? Im in northern NM, its mostly dry but we do get some snow and lots of wind and dust.

    California Car Cover. http://www.calcarcover.com/cover_find2.aspx

When I lived at the beach in Monterey, CA for two years, I had to park my '55 Chevy outdoors. Their "storm weave" cover was AWESOME and worth every penny it cost.

    Hope this helps.

we went on power tour this year, and a lot of people took their car covers with them. I don't know any thing about these car covers. now the funny part:D when it rained, these car covers ****ed up as much water as they could. they were just like a sponge, guys were trying to drag these water soaked sponges from their cars, d****** them over motel hand rails, or any thing close! saw guys trying to roll the water out...to get it in his trunk!!

For a car cover for every day use, find one that does NOT come in contact with the body of the car. Much easier on the finish.

California Car cover "storm weave" is a great car cover, however, use it in conjunction with their water proof cover which is extremely light. The "storm weave" tends to collect dust and when it rains, it makes your car a mess because the water and dirt soak through. I asked them for an outdoor cover that was water proof. The one they sent is great and its the only one I use now. My car has a base coat, no clear and it works perfectly.

Car cover + wind = getting your paint beat to death. Stu

Well my car has an older paint job with some chips and scratches but I dont have the funds to paint it any time soon, I did want to protect it a little from the elements but dont really like the idea of the soaking covers....the sun beating on it is pretty rough here in NM though.
