thank you guys very much for all the info. We actually have 2 rivs.. mine and my brothers. his didnt have factory air and his heat is missing a bunch of components, so i think i'll get the vintage air set up for his car.. and i'll look into getting my factory air going. thanks again! jeff
A Rivi with no factory air? I figured it would be standard on a car like that. How about some photos?
I have seen them sans factory air before. Just one or two locally. even lack the ducts on each side of the dash!
Is it common for cars built for California(California Emmisions equipment) to also not have A/C, since the weather is so nice? I've heard of cars up north not having it because it doesn't get hot up there.
My Riv is a non-air car - from cold Michigan. Here is a picture of the dash - not enough vents. I'm not remembering ANY cars in the 60's with standard air......
I think it is a SW thing. A/C is common in TX, AZ, NM, CA, but in WA of the 4 rivs that I've had, 3 were non A/C cars. Both the '65s I just got are A/C, so I guess that makes it 3/6 with... Later, Mike
I recently dealt with Cl***ic Auto Air. It was not a good time. It took months and some of the parts still aren't right.
