What kind of car? I'm sure there is pictures on here of guys using those kits that should give you a pretty close measurement by looking at their front tire size.
Maybe the distance from the axle to the frame would help, and the spring rate to estimate how much they would compress with any given engine?
Speedway says axle centerline will be 10" from the frame bottom and will compress 1-3" depending on weight of the car. Spring rate is 400lbs/inch. Figure a 15" tire on the skinny side will be about 26-27".
im thinking i will make my 58 rambler american into a gasser its tubbed with a full frame now i just wanted a ball park # from the bottom of the frame to the ground so i can put it on jack stands and check out how it would look its a sbc with 165 15 on it now i dont have a kit yet i want to see how it would look before getting out the tourches and the credit card
we do a lot of them, with a straight axle not dropped and on new frame rails on a tri 5 chevy with a 26 inch tire and a big block is around 14 inches at the bottom of the rocker in front of the door. with a 4 inch drop it ends up about 11 or so inches...
