problem started with a bad gas tank , (rust) Car puted to a stop. Getting it home I removed and replaced the tank. Next was the carbs these are demonssvery little differene between a holley and a demon. Notied a lot of rust in the center carb cleaned all three out put them back together and it keeps fouling out the plugs so i changed out the needle and seats and its doing the same thing it starts but immediatly fouls out the plugs. Whats queer is by accident I squeezed the fuel line of the front carb with needle nose vise grips and it starts up and runns freat on center and rear carb but the moment i release the pliers it floods it and shuts it down. I have exausted my undderstanding anyone with ideas out there.
You've isolated the problem to the front carb it sounds like. Did you do a needle and seat in it? I would suggest that you make sure the float height is set correctly, that you have a gasket on the seat base, and that the needle and seat are good and do not have a manufacturing flaw in them. Flooding is most often caused by to much fuel in the float chamber and the float/needle/seat are what controls that fuel level. lg no neat sig line
