I lik the flame layout and the car is looking good...Would have looked a bit better with some yellow in the flames, but what the hell it's different.

Its weird. i'm usually the dive right in type of guy, but for some reason the clear job on this car was really giving me fits, i mean serious anxiety. i really don't understand it... i mean i do, but i don't. i've shot gallons upon gallons of clear over the last so many years, but this job was something else. i think it was the deadline. i was seriously having dreams about it last night. so i just laid there and visualized myself working thru the job. i was feeling almost sick as i was getting the booth ready... really anxious... but after i put the cup in the gun and shot the first test pattern, it was like a duck to water. jump in with both feet and GO!!!!

so i got it in clear and it looks SICK!!!

too much vapor in the booth to get good pics but i'll get some up later tonite.

i pulled back the plastic and stood in my driveway looking at this thing under the fluorescents and walked up on it to check the image and it is beyond my expectations! this car RULES!!!!!

so tonite we got abut 75% of the car wet sanded for another round of clear...

i was pretty stoked on the way the clear went on. not too much orange peel at all. i did hang a couple of curtains, but they came right out. only bummer was that the wind kicked up and blew the door open right as i was putting the first coat down and it blew all the **** off the trees outside the garage all over the hood... pisser. just a little extra work.

so the plan is to finish wet sanding tomorrow, clear again on weds.

anyone in the LA/LBC/OC area real sharp at doing the cut and buff routine? i know there is someone more experienced than myself who can do it quicker and better.

base is all auto air colors
clear is virtus.
