2 grand seems pretty high. that cab looks like most of it would not come back out of the tank if you had it dipped.

He must be smoking the wacky weed....No way on 2K!:D

  10. The seller is doing a weak job of trying to get $2,000 for it, he should have all the growth cleared off and have the frame off the ground.

So would you pay $1500 for it, fast69? Just curious.

Obviously if you found some history on the truck you might be more motivated.

I still say $200.00 if he removes all the weeds out of the way!!!! And can someone tell the guy that it is a big no no to leave a car on grass and then a tarp over it so it can really rust to nothing!!!! Morning dew can do major damage. Let alone a tarp so it cannot evaporate. Knuck from indiana.

to me 500 would kill it dead on it's best day. And that's if your buddy has had a week long chub for it. Anything more than that and it better have a gold nugget in the seat.

yup some day the current owner will set down his crack pipe and sober up and let it go to the scrapper because nothing will be left of the platinum hot rod pick up that ran when he parked it 30 yrs ago ,

    I would go $500, maybe.
$200 for the title, $150 for the "rust art" for by the shop, and I think I could get $150 in stuff from the mess.
I would only pay that much if you can winch it out of the weeds and onto a trailer without it coming apart!
Just a shame another one of the knuckle heads that wouldn't sell a car let this one turn to trash.
That thing doesn't even have scrap value there is so little metal there.

The cab has doors on it, there is a clean title with it, he says he has the original grille and radiator from the truck. It's also got juice brakes, a dropped axle, a cool modified dash, and probably some other neat stuff on it yet.

It would be rough as a project, but there's quite a bit of good stuff there. And there's really no telling what the frame looks like. Just because it's been sitting on dirt doesn't necessarily mean the frame is junk. I'm guessing the majority of the sheet metal rot has more to do with the fact that it was tarped than where it was parked.

More info is needed, but to the right person and under the right circumstances, I could see how this would be worth $2K. That does seem kind of high, but you guys talking about two or three hundred, you're talking out of your ass. The title is worth more than that.

  18. i agree with squablow on this one. droped axle,juice,title...

    200-300? come on.

Some useable parts here, but no way I'd pay his prices. Look around. I got 3 of those cabs once for free, but I had to take all 3 and a big pile of old parts, fenders and stuff. None of those 3 cabs was rotted thru, just surface rust and 2 were missing a door. Same side naturally. One had been cut to be channeled over a frame on the back of the cab. Traded 1 cab for a Model A pickup cab and traded the other 2 for a 49 Ford farm truck I pulled the flatty out of and traded the rest of the truck to another guy for a pair of Model A frames.
