Flathead help

    Gents,
    I just did a flatty swap and crawling around under the car afterwards found a ball bearing about 1/8th diameter.
    Haven't got a clue what it's from or even if it's from the swap.
    Any ideas?

    never took the water pumps off or apart.

    I can't think of a ball-bearing in a flathead. You should be ok

    Could it be from a sender,the transmission(speedo drive?).

    your pilot bearing in your flywheel? if u have a bearing and not a bushing. there arent many ball bearings.....

    Just a single 1/8" ball? Were you working on a carburetor?

    could it come frome inside a greese fitting? could have sheared one off the suspension when putting in motor?
