I found an orginal Texas 1932 plate for my roadster. I am using the stock tail lamps and brackets. The bracket that is on the tail lamp has provisions so you can bolt the to the bottom of a plate. The 32 Tx plate only has holes in the top of the plate so there is no way to bolt this up ... Any ideas of where to find on oem type license plate frame or what do yall suggest.

  2. Drill 2 holes in the bottom of the plate....slot 'em out if you need to for adjustment.

  4. Mount the plate on another piece of metal with the holes drilled as you need them

On my new 3 window I made a bracket out of SS and attached it to my spreader bar and drilled it to fit the 1932 Nebraska plate. On my last roadster I just drilled the panel below the deck lid to fit the plate and had a custom plate frame made to fit.

yeah, what he said. I'd never drill a hole in a vintage plate.

Also...you are missing a part, an extension that goes up from the channel in center of lower bracket and hooks over the top of the plate.
I think Bob Drake sells reproduction lower holes for your license plate.

That part just hooks over the top middle...you will still need either holes in lower edge or some sort of adaptor plate to attach the thing at the bottom.
