Went to Orange today for the first, hopefully, annual reunion. A lot of great cars showed up for this one. Some hadn't been seen in 40 years. Enjoy the pics...

This car looks kinda familiar? Probably not many chopped fordors running poly power, with noisy qc rearends

I think it's Bob's car, mostly built here by Steve.

I was at Steve's shop getting my hood today, and Bob was talking to Steve on the phone, said he made it to the show.

    I guess John's truck didn't get done.

Thanks for posting the great pics.

Bob's car for sure, showed it to me as we talked at the show. Won't meet himself on the road anytime soon. Nice rig, I liked it.

Clarification; The flatty dragster is owned by Bearing Burner [Conrad Halberg], I'm just the go fer and sometimes truck driver.

Both of us had a great time being able [with the help of friends] to get the car out today and chat with so many fellow gearheads old and new. Had planned on sticking closer to the car but just too much other iron and too many other people to try and catch up with. Both of us did make the HAMB meet and greet, hope to catch up with all the other HAMBER's we missed today eventually.

    Terrific meet!

Great pictures! Brought back memories when I raced the Thompson Pontiac 64 GTO at Orange back in 1964.

Here are a few I took at the meet .The first is Steve Manyante ?? interviewing Jack Hartney one of the founders of Orange. The next pix is Jack's dragster and roadster.

Lance and Co. did a fantastic job of organising this event and getting a lot of our heros together in one place so us younger ? guys could meet them. A very big THANK YOU to them !!!!

My only advice to those who missed this historic event: Don't miss NEXT years !!!!

That car belongs to Bob Jepson, one of the guys who organised Loring AFB LSR trials.
I spent quite a bit of time talking to him at Orange and TyRods. What a neat guy !!!
